Susan S. Lukesh, LLC - Research, Writing, Editing and Consulting
The services offered by Susan S. Lukesh, LLC run the gamut from research and freelance writing to draft or edited copy for the final product to consulting .  Although editing and writing are broken out below into four components, they are clearly all parts of the same puzzle whether describing a new product, a new reorganization or the success of the last year in an annual report or proposing a project for funding from prospective donors.
Research and Freelance Writing
With access to a wide world of resources on the internet as well as the institutional resources of New York City, identification, collection and organization of the research resources required for a project are easily managed.  This research may be genealogical and extends from short projects to development of biographies and Wikipedia articles.
Review of Draft Documents
For any initially drafted document, services include copy editing from initial assessment, through to light (e.g., spelling, punctuation) or substantial revisions (e.g., structure, argument, tone), and proofreading (review typeset galleys and/or page layouts against the original to bring errors to the attention of the publisher whether print or web).
Grant Writing
Susan S. Lukesh is a certified grant proposal writer with experience as well in reviewing grant proposal submissions to IMLS.  The resources of the Foundation Center in Manhattan are immediately available.  Support from research on prospective donors, to background research, and proposal development is offered.
Development of Other Documents
In addition to the development of grant proposals, support in the development of other documents (e.g., brochures, annual reports) is offered in background research, drafting and copy editing and proofreading are available. To assure the best finished product, additional professional editors may be brought in for final proofreading.
Assistance in reorganizations to move an organization into a data driven, outcome oriented process is available.  This includes a preliminary review and subsequent establishment of the collection, analysis and use of data to improve performance, establish outcome measurements and establish regular assessments.
